Q: What is the best part of being a Professional golfer?
A: Seeing all the beautiful countries.

Q: What is the worst part of being a Professional golfer?
A: Wearing the same clothes week in week out for 6months!

Q: Who is the best golfer/ball striker (male or female) you have had the pleasure of sharing a round with?
A: I really don’t know we/they are all good!

Q: If you could tailor make a day of golf and lunch for four, which course would you choose, and who would be your three playing partners?
A: Ah, I’d pick Cypress Point with Christina Kim, Camilo Villegas (Colombian PGA player) and Jack Johnson (musician).

Q: If you hadn’t become a Professional golfer what do you think you would be doing right now?
A: I have no idea. I’ve never wanted to do anything but golf and because of that I never had a plan B.

Q: What are your aspirations in golf? Where would you like to be in 5 years? 10 years?
A: 10 years is a long way away. I’ll be in my 30s!!! I don’t want to think that far ahead! But in 5 years I would love to be in the US playing and be top 15 in the world, which would be cool.

Q: What are the strengths of your game? What are the weaknesses?
A: Well, this year my weakness is my putting. My putter broke 1st tournament of the year and although I got a new one it’s just not the same…. Strengths? Everything but putting ha-ha! I can’t single one thing out like I can in the negatives!!!

Q: Did you follow golf when you were younger, and if so, who was/were your favourite player/s?
A: No, I didn’t really follow golf at all, I just loved playing it! But Jan Stephenson was my favourite and still is one of my favourites… Jan is a friend of the family and has helped me out a lot over the years, she is a great friend.

Q: Given one wish, in what way would you change the world of Ladies Professional Golf?
A: Oh, to get the money on the same level as men!!! Or anywhere close to it!!! We work just as hard as them if not harder.

Q: What rule in golf would you most like to see eradicated or changed?
A: I think it’s unfair that when you hit a great drive down the middle of the fairway and your heaps happy with yourself and you get there and its in a dirty big unfilled divot!! And you think man what did I do to deserve this! It can be unfair at times.

Q: What is the most common mistake you see your Pro-Am partners make?
A: Mmmm… I think a lot of times they are just way too hard on themselves… they expect to shoot par when they are off 10 or something. I’m sure they don’t get a chance to practice a lot because of work commitments and usually they are great players but just too hard on themselves.

Q: How do you enjoy yourself while away from the golf course?
A: I love shopping but I love doing nothing at all, even though I can’t do it for long! Sometimes it’s just good to lay on the lounge and have a power nap.

Q: Do the airline terrorism scares play on your mind being a frequent traveller?
A: Ah not really, but I think deep down it does. I try not to think about it, what ever happens happens, you can’t change it.

Q: Is there camaraderie on the overseas tours as there seems to be amongst the girls during the Australian tournaments?
A: Every one is really nice and friendly here. It’s a great tour.

Q: Golf in America is so different to golf in Europe. Do you enjoy one more than the other? Would you like to see a world tour?
A: I must say I love the conditions better in Europe as it changes every week and nothing is ever the same but I think I would like the US greens as I think they are more like home. A world tour? I think that would be great!!

Q: You performed quite well in the 2006 Weetabix Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes, how did you find that experience?
A: What lessons did you learn for future tilts at the Open? The experience was great and very nerve racking on the 1st day but I had a great group (both play LPGA) and the 2nd day was far more relaxing!! The lesson I learned is the same one I learn and tell myself every week: stay patient it was a tough course if you put yourself in the wrong position. Another important thing from the week was all about thinking your way around the course!

Q: Caddies can become quite expensive in the initial stages of a golfer’s career, do you have a full-time caddy?
A: Yes or no, describe that situation! Yeah, I have a full time caddy. His name is Tim Walsh and he is from my golf club Tuggerah Lakes. We have a great relationship and have had a lot of fun together this year. He has loved the experience with the nickname Smiley as that’s all he does. Even today when he was sick all day!!! It can be quite expensive at times but it really does make a difference and its good to have a familiar face carry your clubs every week, especially one with a big smile every day!!

Q: You have an older partner who has his own children. How is that going and how does being on tour affect your relationship?
A: Well, he’s not that old!! But everything is going great… I am very lucky I have such a supportive partner in Brian… it is hard being away for most of the year but I was fortunate enough to go home for a couple of weeks in July At the end of the day this is my job and he supports me 100%. Hopefully he will be able to come to Dubai with me so he sees “life on tour.”

Q: One of the biggest differences on the tours’ is the decision by the female Professionals if and when to have children. Do you envisage having children of your own?
A: If so, have you started thinking about how that will work in with your chosen career? If not, when do you start thinking about those sorts of things? I’d love to have children one day. I’m practically a stepmother now and it’s great fun… I want to give my career a shot first, and see how things go. Anything is possible and a lot of people have shown you’re never too old to win golf tournaments!!! You can always come back to golf. That’s what is so good about it but no children on the horizon for me just yet!

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to any other young girls out there who are considering a career as a Professional golfer?
A: To be as organised as possible!!! It’s hard coming from amateur to professional golf as I found in amateur golf all my travel arrangements were done for me. It was a big wake up call the first couple of weeks and I have a lot more grey hairs to show for it!!!
